Appreciated every detail about my very lovely 5 nights stay here. It was good value. The staff members were hospitable and amicable. The English breakfast had a good choice of choices.

We think it's a good base for staying in Colchester. The staff are friendly and excellent, managed the parking nearby. The units are decent size, brand-new. The location is ideal and so close to the centre, the garden and the Colchester Town railway station and Osborne Street. 1 km away there is Domino's, serving quick meals. Stay here and enjoy your Colchester trip.

Everything at this hotel was nice. My double room was neat, had a comfy bed. Pleased it had a bath.

In general the staff were excellent and friendly. The English breakfast was free with top quality ingredients for all tastes and good value.

By and large, it was perfect base for sightseeing in Colchester, had much fun. The staff were friendly and very polite all the time. There were a refrigerator, a microwave, and a kettle in the room, really enjoyed that. They offered a huge variety of options for English breakfast. The hotel was in an amazing and particularly good location next to other areas like train station and Colchester Town train station.

Location: the hotel was short walk to the the town centre and other areas like train station as well as Colchester Town train station. We could drink something at Tudor Bar and Brasserie, located 1 km away.

I recently stayed at Prince Cottage for one night and it was an absolute delight. The hosts, Marchioness and Alan, were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Marchioness' cooking was the highlight of my stay, with breakfast and dinner being absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. I appreciated the personalized service, with Marchioness even making my lunch for the day. If you're looking for a top-notch service without the hefty price tag, I highly recommend this hotel.

In a pretty comfortable area with garden view, stunning position right by other areas like train station, the back garden and park.

The venue was exceptionally comfortable, I truly enjoyed the stay and the location was ideal close enough to the Colchester Town railway station and Osborne Street, the City centre and main attractions, and the garden.

The location was very convenient and easy to find, with on-street parking readily available. It was a short drive to the university and although the town center was a bit further, it wasn't a hassle. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure all our needs were taken care of. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with eggs sourced fresh from their own chickens. It felt very safe and welcoming, like going home to your parents. The shared bathroom was not an issue as you could coordinate with the other guest. If you're looking for a personable and friendly atmosphere, this is the perfect place to stay.

While the property had interesting and nostalgic objects, the overall decor felt a bit outdated. It could benefit from some modernization and a fresher look.
